Exterior Solid Wood Jambs: Timbergate uses select and better solid wood for the exterior door jamb. Solid wood jambs are standard with all Timbergate doors. Solid wood jambs are constructed using wood screws versus the industry standard of pins and staples. The use of wood screws allows for the disassembly of the jamb if desired for field adjustment. All pre-hung Timbergate exterior doors include a 4 9/16” solid wood jamb or clad jamb, and are shipped with a 1 3/8”?adjustable sill on the bottom of the jamb. Other jamb sizes (4 13/16”,5 1/4”, 6 9/16, and 6 13/16”) are available. Custom jamb sizes other than those listed above are available. | Exterior Clad Jambs: Timbergate exterior clad jamb consists of white pine finger joint with raw wood (matching the wood species of the door) rabbet standard, with end treatment on bottom at sill prep on end grain. Exterior Continuous Sills: Timbergate Continuous Sills are manufactured with an extruded aluminum threshold supported by a rot-resistant, all composite substrate. These adjustable sills feature an overlap cap with an integrated seal, covered adjustment screws, and High Dam Design. Available finishes are Mill (standard), Brushed Nickel, Brass, and Bronze.
