ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by the immediate/acting leadership.
Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and corrects electrical problems in production and support equipment.
- Installs, removes, repairs, overhauls, and tests electrical equipment.
- Performs installation, removal and repair of electrical equipment, such as switchgear, transformers, starters, controllers, capacitors, production equipment power and control systems, such as PLC.
- Works to meet current electrical codes and company policy and practices.
- Reads electrical and related blueprints.
- Is able to determine proper components and installation requirements.
- Possesses skill to use all necessary electrical tools.
- Cleans job site and tools. Stores tools and equipment in designated places in an organized manner.
- Follows lockout/tagout policy.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate's degree (A. A.) in an Industrial Electrician program or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Able to read the standard and metric tape measure.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MP2 (maintenance software) Project Management software.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
While performing the duties of this Job, the associate is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The associate is frequently required to walk. The associate is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The associate must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
If the associate is color blind, he or she will be able to "assist" in maintenance involving electrical work; however, he or she absolutely could not be the primary person terminating or installing electrical wiring.
